The Repairs Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of disrepair and preventative maintenance projects, ensuring properties meet safety and compliance standards, while enhancing the resident experience. This role includes leading a team of property professionals to proactively identify, evaluate, and resolve both existing and potential disrepair issues efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure contractors consistently deliver high-quality repairs aligned with customer priorities and organisational standards, complete inspections and visits on schedule, and address resident concerns efficiently. Maintain properties to foster a safe, welcoming environment.
  • Case and Resource Management: Oversee resources and manage project timelines to meet completion targets for all disrepair cases. Provide regular reporting on project progress, trends, and performance for effective case management.
  • Resident-Focused Service: Facilitate a responsive service by addressing feedback and resident queries promptly, implementing process improvements based on insights from resident feedback, and supporting continuous service enhancement.
Candidate Profile:
  • Essential: Demonstrable experience managing high-performing repairs teams and complex, multi-disciplinary projects, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of relevant legislation and experience in contractor management, technical reporting, and work scheduling are critical.
  • Desirable: Experience in managing legal or disrepair projects, qualifications in building management, DEA/FRA assessor training, HND or equivalent in a technical field, and project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2).

Pending legislative updates, a professional qualification may be required for this role, with support available for candidates pursuing the necessary certification.
