Proactively seeking an Up & Coming, Professional, Superstar of the future Project Manager to join a notable main contractor based in Central London. This contractor's name alone peaks interest due to the high end projects they complete for repeat clients within the commercial, private residential, retail and leisure construction sectors. These projects range in value up to 100million and are both new build, refurbishment and fit out schemes in London and the Home Counties.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager role
- As a Project Manager for this business you will be a number one on site leading a project in the region of 25-80million within one of the sectors outlined above.
- You will report to a Operations Director who will likely visit site once or twice a week.
- You will be heavily involved in the Pre-construction phase where a two stage tender process is utilised.
- You will lead and manage a site team and be responsible for the management of subcontractors
- You will be responsible for Health & Safety on site and Quality assurance of the project
- As the Project Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the project runs to programme and within budget
- You will likely be a point of contact for the client and acting as a client liaison, along with the Operations Director.
About the Ideal Candidate for the Project Manager role
- The ideal candidate will be Degree educated. Desirable degrees are Construction Management or Civil Engineering degrees.
- You will have relevant, Project Management experience in the Construction sector on projects of a similar size and value. You will have led projects as a number one on site and seen the whole build process through from start to finish.
