The mission of the Project Manager is to ensure all system installations are delivered on schedule and to the client's standards. The Project Manager facilitates successful delivery through the life of the project, while maintaining standards and processes.
The successful candidate will be client-focused, self-motivated, and possess strong project management experience, supported by an obvious technical aptitude, and will be responsible for managing multiple projects, typically ranging from 20,000 to 500,000.

Responsibilities:
Managing Relationships Between Clients, Sales, and Operations
- Manage the day-to-day client relationship ensuring that Sales and Operations are kept informed of developments involving them in any decisions that may significantly affect the relationship.
- Ensure a good partnership-based working relationship.
- Attend project meetings as required, including production and distribution of minutes.
Managing Project Delivery
- Receive commercial project handover from the Sales Consultants.
- Supervise the technical/design handover between Sales and Operations.
- Take full responsibility for the project programme and key dates.
- Manage progress on site to schedule.
- Ensure client dependencies are fulfilled and that impacts on programme are formally notified as appropriate.
- Provide accurate monthly forecast information including overall percentage completion, and predicted cost/time under and overspends in accordance with established processes.
- Identify, price, and agree variation orders through to billing and payment.
- Coordinate with Finance on the submission of valuations, payment applications, and/or invoices as dictated by the contract ensuring agreed dates.
- Ensure the integrity of subcontract arrangements to minimise risk.
- Attend regular project meetings with the project team.
Site Assessment Including Health and Safety
- Work closely with the operations team and engineers to ensure the integrity of system designs.
- Produce and manage health and safety documentation including method statements, risk assessments, health and safety plans in accordance with HSE guidance, current legislation, and CDM regulations.
- Run toolbox talks during projects.
Understanding of Installation Process
- Gain sufficient understanding of the technical aspects and risks in a project to ensure successful delivery.
- Organise pre-installation visits to review site and provide the operations list of requirements.
Maintaining Documentation and Standards
- Manage system testing and commissioning including associated documentation.
- Complete and submit operation and maintenance manuals.
- Manage the handover(s) to the support department on project or key stage completion.
- Complete documentation complying with ISO 9001:2015 policy and procedures.
Skills and Abilities:

- IT literacy, MS Office, and ideally proficient in MS Project.

- Experience of producing and disseminating health and safety documentation.
- The ability to learn quickly and understand new technologies.
- Demonstrable technical aptitude and able to understand schematics, connection diagrams, and site plans.
Experience, Licenses & Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and dynamic with a good understanding of project management processes.
- Willingness to travel and work out of hours where necessary to achieve results.
- Minimum of 4 years' industry experience working within fire and security installations.
- Previously worked in a fire and security systems project engineer or project manager role.
- A working knowledge of commonly used contracts such as NEC/JCT etc.
- Experience of managed integrated system projects including IP integration.
- Experience of working for a CDM principal contractor or in a CDM environment.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualified or similar (e.g., SSSTS or SMSTS).
- ECS certified or ability to acquire certification.
- Previous experience of working within an ISO 9001 and NSI standards company.
- Full UK car driving license.
