Project Manager

Role Overview:

Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile Cat A fit-out across seven floors of a commercial building in South West London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the project, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As well as the 7 floor fit-out there is also some externals works whch will require the whole building to be scaffolded

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring alignment with the program, budget, and client expectations.
• Team Management: Lead and coordinate a team of 1-2 supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. This is NOT a job for someone who wanrts to sit behind a desk all day
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with the visiting Contracts Manager (Mark), attending regular progress meetings (2-3 times per week).
• Programme & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project timelines, proactively addressing potential delays.
• Quality Control: Ensure all works comply with design specifications, building regulations, and health & safety standards.
• Health & Safety: Enforce strict H&S compliance, conducting regular site inspections and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Cost & Budget Control: Work closely with commercial teams to manage project costs, procurement, and subcontractor payments.
• Risk Management: Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, produce progress reports, and update stakeholders regularly.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing Cat A fit-out or similar commercial fit-out projects up to the value of 10m as a No.1
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience in managing subcontractors and suppliers.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card ideally), and First Aid certification preferred.
