Project Manager | London | £80,000 | 2 year fixed term contractÂ
We are recruiting for a Project Manager to take lead on a new system implementation on behalf of a train operating company based in London. This is an initial 2 year fixed term contract and offers the chance to oversee the project from initiation to completion.
The Opportunity:
This will be an opportunity to take full ownership of the project lifecycle playing a part in modernising the rail service the organisation provides.
Project Managers who have experience implementing systems within a similar industry aside from rail will be considered

Key responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end project management of the procurement, and implementation, of the new Resource and Planning Suite. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, ensuring all deliverables, timelines, and milestones are met. Oversee the project to demobilise the existing suite after a series of tests and parallel running.
Work closely with the Service Delivery Management team procurement team, Rail Operations Technical Advisor, and Business Change Manager to oversee the tendering and procurement process. This includes market engagement, managing vendor selection, and ensuring the procurement process follows internal and external governance and meets operational requirements.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, operational teams, by acting as the key point of contact for the project between the company and the market, (including IT, operations, and senior management), and the project team. Ensure effective communication and collaboration to drive the successful delivery of the project.
Candidate Essentials:
At least 5+ years of project management experience, with a strong track record of managing complex IT system procurement, deployment, and integration projects.
Previous experience with Resource and Planning Systems (especially in the rail sector) is highly desirable.
