The Company

This Senior Design Manager’s role is with one of the UK’s leading main contractors. They are a diverse organisation with activities in most sectors of the built environment. This particular role is within their London major projects division that undertakes a wide range of schemes in the private and public sectors including residential and commercial buildings. Projects will vary in value from £100m – £500m and this specific role is to work a £105m mixed use cut and carve scheme consisting of commercial units with residential apartments above based in Clapham south London.

The Person

We are looking for a Senior Design Manager who has been working with a leading main contractor on London based new build projects. You will have experience of taking projects from pre-construction through delivery to handover and you will be responsible for managing all the design aspects of projects. You will need to able lead meetings with external design teams and ensure that they are delivering design on time, within budget and at the desired quality. You will have a design manager reporting into you on the project so previous management experience is a plus. Experience of working on new build or Cut & Carve projects in the £50m plus range is essential.
