Senior Design Manager

I am working with a Tier 1 Main Contractor who are seeking to bolster their team with the addition of an accomplished Senior Design Manager.

My client have an established, profitable and stable business unit in the city and are looking for a candidate that will be excited by this prospect above all.

The Role

The role will work closely with the Senior Project Manager for this scheme and will report directly into the Head of Design for the business unit.

As the Senior Design Manager, You will be largely focused on anew build project valued at circa 50m in Central London.

Key Duties

• You will lead and provide well roundeddesign service for the customer and key partners involved with the project.
• Manage and coordinate safely the overall design process
• Ability to challenge the brief, consultants, third parties where necessary
• Develop a comprehensive scope of service for key stages of project
• Programme, chair and manage all design reviews and coordination meetings
• Work closely with discipline lead designers to deliver coordinated design solutions
• Ensure that design is developed in line with commercial and construction requirements and the cost plan budget allowances

Requirements

• Senior Design Manager with a proven track record of leading complex, inner city major projects
• Experience of working on PCSA/2 Stage Bids - For future work
• Tier 1 Contracting Background
