We are seeking a proactive property professional with a solid understanding of industry standards and excellent organisational skills. The ideal candidate will be skilled at managing a range of responsibilities, ensuring their portfolio is run efficiently while delivering high-quality service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

General

  • Familiarity with industry standards and guidelines such as TPI and RICS Service Charge Management Code.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent organisational abilities, including time management and maintaining accurate records for a designated portfolio.

Property Management

  • Assisting with the preparation and monitoring of service charge budgets and supporting accountants with year-end accounts.
  • Coordinating reactive and planned maintenance activities.
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance across the portfolio.
  • Managing insurance renewals and processing claims efficiently.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and attending meetings, including AGMs and with directors.
  • Supervising site-based staff and external contractors.
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of company-related compliance, including requirements from Companies House.
  • Familiarity with property management and financial software systems.

Legal

  • Awareness of landlord and tenant legislation.
  • Experience managing Section 20 consultations and overseeing major works projects.
  • Knowledge of service charge regulations and the preparation of associated legal documentation.
  • Handling alteration license requests and other lease-related processes.
  • Managing enquiries and documentation related to property sales, transfers, and sub-letting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in property management.
  • Professional qualifications: TPI Associate (minimum), IRPM Member preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, multitasking, and stress management skills.
  • Experience using property management software, particularly Qube.
  • Understanding of budget creation and maintenance.
  • Awareness of relevant local and national property management regulations.
  • Ability to travel to sites as needed.
