Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Property to lead and innovate in a vibrant and diverse environment. What You'll Be Doing:

As the Director of Property, you will be at the forefront of developing and delivering the Council's property and asset strategy. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading property-related aspects of the Council's ambitious Regeneration programme, with an expenditure exceeding £2.5bn over five years.
  • Ensuring oversight of property initiatives, particularly in Affordable Homes for the council and other major projects.
  • Providing professional guidance and strategic direction to enhance service delivery and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborating with a range of internal teams and external stakeholders to foster a holistic approach to property management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the Corporate Plan and divisional service strategies, ensuring alignment with the Council's objectives.
  • Establish and monitor performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and deliver value for money.
  • Lead, inspire, and coach a talented team to achieve high standards of performance.
  • Manage complex property-related budgets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree-level education or equivalent experience in a senior property-related role.
  • A professional property qualification (FRICS / FCIOB / IRRV or similar).
  • Proven track record in delivering complex property projects and managing significant capital budgets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
