Job Title: Head of Property Management

Next Chapter Talent are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Property Management to lead and oversee a growing property management portfolio based within a vibrant corner of SW London. This role is perfect for someone with a wealth of experience in property management, who enjoys taking ownership of larger projects while also supporting a small and dedicated team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of circa 200 properties across two additional office portfolios with the potential for further growth in the near future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Property Management team consisting of one Property Manager.
  • Oversee the daily distribution of incoming issues and job tasks, with the Property Manager handling most day-to-day issues.
  • Manage the more sizable works projects.
  • Assist with the training and development of the Property Manager, including appraisals (supported by senior leadership).
  • Maintain and build on excellent relationships with tenants and landlords.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day running of properties and address any issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Manage your own portfolio alongside overseeing team operations.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Significant experience in property management, with a knack for leading individuals.
  • Ability to handle multiple portfolios and lead larger-scale projects, such as refurbishments and major works.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to oversee and develop a smaller team, offering support, guidance, and training.
  • Proactive and hands-on approach to overcoming objections, problem-solving and managing tenant relations.
