A Central London Local Authority is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interim Property Building Surveyor to join its dynamic team. This role, based in the heart of London, offers a competitive rate of 300.00 per day (umbrella). As a Property Building Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the effective management of property inspections, repairs, and maintenance within the Housing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Area Repairs Manager to implement and develop effective systems for inspecting external and communal property areas, identifying requirements for reactive repairs and cyclical maintenance.
  • Work in tandem with colleagues across Housing services to improve quality and customer satisfaction for residents.
  • Support and manage a flexible approach to resource deployment within the Property Services Division, responding effectively to fluctuations in workload.
  • Provide technical support to the team, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements for repairs term partnering contracts.
  • Ensure the implementation of the Council's health and safety policy, providing expert knowledge on health and safety law in the construction industry.
  • Oversee the high-quality delivery of repairs in residents' homes, managing complaints effectively and resolving defects promptly.
  • Manage claims and processing for the cost of all works covered by the Council's insurance policy.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in responsive repairs, preferably in Housing.
  • Excellent building pathology knowledge.
