Your new companyYour new Brokers are an Independent Lloyd's Broker providing specialist solutions to their clients who access a wide range of markets on their behalf. They are a boutique Lloyd's Broker, with a tradition of London market insurance broking stretching back many years. They are focused on all classes of business where the London Market provides significant global expertise and capacity. They consider themselves a fast-growing business, currently employing over 400 professionals, dedicated to providing their clients with the service they require. Due to expansion within the North American Property team, there is an opportunity for a Technician to handle NA Binder Property risks. This is a homebased role with occasional working in the City 1 day per weekYour new roleWorking as a Technician, you will be responsible for producing documentation, predominantly MRCs and Endorsements, also some Certificate issuance. You will be responsible for preparing and typing of letters / emails and other correspondence, maintaining online filing and archiving systems, entering data onto the Global system as well as obtaining Bureau Signings and arranging extension to terms of trade. Other duties will include dealing with queries from Brokers and clients as well as calculating pro-rata/short rate additional/return premiums. This opportunity will be handling a mix of Binders and some open Market risksWhat you'll need to succeedYour previous experience working as a Technician handling NA Binder business ideally handling Non Marine or Property business who has experience in producing endorsements/slips, ideally with knowledge in Forestry business ( this is not essential) will contribute to your success in securing this role. The workload is heavy at times, so they are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, personable and a good team player.
