Timeplan Education is seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to work in an alternative provision in Haringey. Our school is looking for Behaviour Mentors that have experience in coaching, mentoring, and lending assistance in a classroom setting. Ideal candidates must feel comfortable dealing with dysregulated behaviour, Autism and mental health difficulties and be able to show a calm and engaging approach. Many students also have additional SEND, such as ASD, ADHD and SpLD.
Experience of working with children or adults in an education setting is preferred, but a willingness to learn new coaching skills to improve behaviour and development is critical. All positions will initially be via the agency on a timesheet basis.
The school would be interested to hear from applicants with a background in care, social work, mental health, or mentoring.
Job Responsibilities
- Supporting children with SEMH and SEND
- Able to stay calm and de-escalate distressed Behaviour
- Valid Enhanced DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new check
- Available 5-days a week for a minimum of 3 months
