About the Role:
TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to work in a secondary school based in the East London area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have experience working with young people displaying challenging behaviour and are committed to making a real impact in their lives.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to encourage positive change.
  • Support teachers in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Act as a role model and build strong relationships with students, fostering trust and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a mentoring, pastoral, or support role.
  • A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and resilient approach to supporting students.
  • Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential, e.g., Psychology, Youth Work, Education, or similar).
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
