Salary:64,000 - 67,000 per annum (Pro-rata)

Overview:

Compass Associates is working in partnership with a leading mental healthcare provider in Central London to recruit for an experiencedEating Disorder Unit (EDU) Lead. The successful candidate will oversee a 9-bedded inpatient unit and daycare service, providing clinical leadership to a skilled team of psychologists, nurses, therapists, and dietitians. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive service innovation, enhance treatment protocols, and contribute to the development of a specialist eating disorder service that delivers high-quality, evidence-based care.

As the EDU Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing service delivery, ensuring the team adheres to national guidelines and best practices. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with senior management, contribute to the ongoing development of treatment programmes, and support a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of psychologists, therapists, and support staff in the Eating Disorder Unit.

- Oversee both inpatient and day patient care, ensuring service delivery aligns with evidence-based guidelines and clinical standards.

- Develop, update, and implement treatment protocols, including CBT-E, DBT, and other therapeutic modalities.

- Provide clinical leadership and supervisions to Psychologists.

- Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure seamless patient care.

- Oversee service development and contribute to the continuous improvement of treatment programmes.

- Ensure efficient management of resources, budgets, and day-to-day operations of the service.

Essential Requirements:

- HCPC Registered Counselling or Clinical Psychologist with experience in eating disorders.

- Post-qualification training in evidence-based therapies such as CBT-E, DBT, or MANTRA.

- At least two years of post-qualification experience after doctorate.

- Proven leadership skills, including managing and supervising clinical teams.

- Experience with service development and improving service delivery.

- Ability to work within budget constraints and optimise available resources.
