Educational Psychologist | London Area and Home Counties| Minimum 2 days per month – maximum 3 days per week| Competitive salary £46,755 - £87,100 depending on experience

Our client is a well-established company in the private sector, specialising in providing independent assessments and tribunal reports as expert witnesses.

They are looking to expand their team and so there are part time and full-time roles available. They are a small and supportive team, where innovation and initiative are encouraged. They like to think of their management style as ‘on tap, not on top', meaning support is there whenever asked for but you shouldn't feel micromanaged.

Please note- the client is pretty flexible regarding shift patterns but candidates need to bear in mind there will be in-person visits to multiple schools and /or home assessments.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Based within 90 mins drive from central London
    • Enhanced DBS check is of course required
    • Fully qualified Educational Psychologist
    • HCPC registered
    • Full driving licence and own transport (if outside London)
    • Someone who puts the child's needs first in your work
    • Ideally have tribunal experience (not essential, we can offer training)

What will your role look like?

  • Conduct one-off assessments and reports to support EHCP applications or appeals against contested EHCPs. This involves in-person visits to schools and /or home assessments.
  • Caseloads are light, allowing the freedom to focus all attention on providing the best service possible for clients

What can you expect in return?

  • Expenses including travel, tests and materials are paid for
  • We offer a generous (pro-rate) AL allowance
  • Employee pension scheme
  • Flexible working available (e.g. can work around child care or similar restrictions)
  • External and in-house training, including specific training on EHCP tribunals and offer 1-1 coaching through the first few reports

Interview Process

Successful candidates will be invited to a face to face interview.
