Overview:
Purpose: Enhance the achievement and wellbeing of children, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or other learning barriers.
As an Educational Psychologist you will provide psychological support and advice to schools and the SEND department.

Responsibilities
  • Offer high-quality statutory psychological advice as per SEN legislation and the Code of Practice (2014).
  • Advise on cases for the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDisT) and provide evidence at hearings.
  • Deliver targeted psychological services, including consultation, assessment, and intervention, to a designated group of schools.
  • Provide staff development and training to ensure high-quality teaching and support for all students.
  • Monitor and evaluate school interventions, sharing examples of good practice.
  • Contribute to the annual analysis of the Borough Educational Psychology Services outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop evidence-based practices that improve social and learning opportunities for children.
