A well-respected Primary School in Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work closely with a challenging pupil with Autism. This role is crucial in helping the student manage their behaviour and succeed academically and socially within the school environment.

As a Behaviour Mentor, your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing one-on-one support to a pupil with Autism, helping them navigate challenges and develop positive behaviour strategies.
  • Building a trusting relationship with the pupil, offering consistent encouragement and guidance.
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and the SEN team to implement tailored behaviour management plans.
  • Assisting the pupil in developing social skills and coping mechanisms that will support their overall well-being and integration into school life.
  • Monitoring and recording the pupil's progress, adapting strategies as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A strong understanding of Autism and experience working with children who have special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with the pupil and collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
