About the RoleAs a Clinical Specialist Mammographer, youll play a pivotal role within a dynamic Breast Unit offering a wide range of breast examinations and procedures, including 2D/3D Mammography, stereotactic biopsies, interventional procedures, and screening mammograms. Working closely with a highly skilled team, youll deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Youll also have the opportunity to expand your skills by rotating into other modalities, such as Plain Film, MRI, or CT, ensuring you maintain a well-rounded, versatile practice.
Your Responsibilities:- Perform quality control and deliver high-standard mammography services, including symptomatic breast clinics and self-referral screenings.
- Assist with ultrasounds, biopsies, aspirations, and drainages.
- Provide stereotactic biopsy support alongside consultant radiologists.
- Take part in evening breast clinics and contribute to the rotation between facilities to maintain service efficiency.
- Manage administrative duties such as bookings and reporting within the Mammography service.
- Ensure effective use of PACS and DR/CR systems to streamline patient care.
- HCPC Registration and a PGCert in Mammography/Breast Imaging.
- Proven mammography experience within the UK healthcare system.
- In-depth knowledge of mammography processes and procedures.
- Strong IT skills with the ability to work efficiently in a digital environment.
