Communications and Public Affairs PR

Salary: circa £65,000

Location: London, hybrid model

As a Communications & Public Affairs Manager, you will provide support in one of the organisation's key areas of communication and public affairs.

Assuring brand protection and reputation promotion.

Planning, coordinating, and organising communications activities and events on a local and national level.

This role will be reporting into the Director of Marketing & Communications.

  • You should be curious, creative, and able to lead with authority if you are interested in this role.

  • As a self-starter, you'll work independently to produce coordinated and high-quality results.
  • The ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders to deliver impact is critical to your success.
  • You will have excellent organisational and written/verbal communication skills. In addition to strong analytical skills, you'll be able to distil information into clear, actionable insights.

The role will:

  • Assure the brand and reputation of the company and the assessment service is protected and promoted proactively.
  • Deliver their strategic goals by providing advice, guidance, and services related to communications, external affairs, and policy.
  • Analyze, identify, and report on emerging issues and trends (including political and regulatory developments).
  • Assure accurate, complete, and up-to-date information is shared with their central team through timely operational updates.
  • Create communication assets by researching, writing, and producing them.
  • Assist decision makers and audiences in understanding their policy views.
  • Establish relationships, organize events, and present high quality and effective communications and engagement activities to ensure effective stakeholder management.
  • Manage crisis communications activities in conjunction with the Director of Marketing & Communications.
  • Ensure impact and influence are measured by producing monthly reports and evaluations.

Skills and experience:

  • Communication and public affairs experience.
  • An understanding of how to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • The knowledge of relevant stakeholder groups and media outlets related to healthcare policy.
  • A demonstrable relationship with the government and the media.
  • Event management and hosting experience.
  • A high level of quality, compelling writing, including communication collateral, reports, correspondence, and briefings.
  • All communications assets and content must be accessible.
  • The ability to think strategically and commercially.
