Based in either London, Jersey or Guernsey, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented communications professional to join a leading offshore law firm to support a busy global stream of internal and external communications, building the firm’s brand across a variety of key channels.
Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Communications Professional will be responsible for building a pipeline of press opportunities and placing content in priority legal publications-. You will draft clear, accurate and well-written copy for external communication, distributing press releases to regional, international and trade media, and will subsequently monitor media coverage for all press releases. Working alongside the wider Marketing & BD team and the firm’s brand agency, the role holder will be expected to deliver timely and interesting LinkedIn content using a mix of mediums, managing new post ideas from conception to completion and measuring impact thereafter. You will need to research hot topics and implement new ideas to enhance engagement and following and will support lawyers to use social media effectively and build their personal brand. From an internal communications perspective, the successful applicant will create and distribute internal communications campaigns, including drafting regular short articles for the firm’s intranet and also managing the set-up and content for an ongoing series of partner-led internal webinars.
The firm are looking for a team playing communications specialist with strong professional services experience, gained most likely from a leading law firm, with a proven track record in leading communications projects alongside senior stakeholders. A bright graduate or equivalent, who is passionate about writing, the Communications Professional will demonstrate high attention to detail and will possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. A strong interest in social media will be essential whilst previous professional LinkedIn experience will be highly advantageous.
