My client is a rapidly growing international organisation offering a range of solutions to the global Financial & Professional Services sector. As part of their exciting growth plans there is an opportunity to join the Group in this newly created role, a key appointment as they to seek create frameworks/governance for all projects to ensure standardisation of execution and delivery.


The appointed individual will also be responsible for end-to-end key strategic projects oversight and establishing project management practices from the ground up. This mandate presents an exciting opportunity to impact meaningful change across the organisation.


The Role

  • Develop methodology, best practices and standards in relation to project management across the business, developing and implementing PMO policies and procedures, to help execute change effectively and consistently.
  • Lead organisational change management efforts related to the implementation of new project management processes and practices.
  • Foster and support a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO and across the wider business.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, acting as an internal consultant for project management best practices.
  • Research, recommend, procure and implement appropriate project management tools and software to facilitate best practice and derive the right outcomes for projects.
  • Ensure projects comply with organisational and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO.


The Person

  • Stellar experience in project management, with a proven track record of establishing PMO processes in organisations without formal project management structures.
  • Open on background, however regulated sector/data exposure would be of particular interest.
  • Experience of different frameworks and methodologies i.e. PRINCE2, waterfall, agile etc.
  • Need a pragmatic hands on individual who recognises and is comfortable with joining at the start of the organisations PMO journey and appreciative of the challenges this will present
  • Gravitas to lead beyond direct authority.
  • Ideally degree educated, or of graduate calibre - ambitious and driven with career progression aspirations
