We are currently seeking a Service Designer to work with our public sector client

3 months with scope to extend

540 inside IR35

London / Remote with once-a-month attendance

The ideal candidates will have a proven Service design background within public sector experience with the below skill set.

We're seeking an experienced to join a transformative government programme focused on delivering essential public services. You'll play a crucial role in designing end-to-end services that meet user needs while working within complex policy environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service design activities across complex user journeys, ensuring services are accessible, inclusive, and meet the needs of diverse user groups
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement user-centered services that work across multiple channels (digital, telephone, and face-to-face)
  • Map end-to-end user journeys and identify opportunities for service improvement
  • Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with users, stakeholders, and delivery teams
  • Create service blueprints, user journeys, and other design artifacts that clearly communicate service concepts

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Service Designer, particularly in complex public sector environments
  • Track record of designing accessible and inclusive services for diverse user groups
  • Experience working with vulnerable users and designing services that meet their specific needs
  • Understanding of government design principles and service standards
  • Experience working in agile delivery teams
  • Knowledge of service design methodologies and tools
