UAL are working exclusively with Gray & Associates Recruitment Specialists to fill this role. University of the Arts London (UAL) offers an extensive range of courses in art, design, fashion, communication and performing arts. They are a collegiate University spread across London with six Colleges, four Institutes and five Research Centres.

This is a great role for someone with experience in Higher Education marketing and recruitment, specifically the student journey from discovery of UAL to enrolment. Experience of planning, developing, evaluating and delivering tailored and relevant content to support prospective student engagement and conversion across the UK and international markets would be of particular interest.

The post holder will take an overview on all communications around the area of prospective student engagement published for all the colleges. This will include:

  • Ensuring all communications are on brand and follow tone of voice and style guidelines.
  • Working with stakeholders across the university to ensure all communications from departments and schools within the university provide prospective students with cohesive information which is accurate, effective and co-ordinated across all channels.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and communication staff across the university offering advice and expertise on student engagement and recruitment communications.
  • Planning, devising, implementing and evaluating communication activities for the prospective student’s journey from discovery of UAL to offer. Ensuring consistent, informative, relevant communication at every stage for every course within UAL.
  • Identifying, planning and writing communications/articles/emails aimed at providing prospective students with information relevant to all students and courses for example cost of living, guide to student accommodation.
  • Advising stakeholders within the university on writing informative emails providing relevant information to prospective students in line with guidelines.
  • Drafting copy for a range of different scenarios as and when they arise.
  • Evaluate the success of student recruitment campaign communications. Identify what worked well and what can be improved.
  • Preparing communication activities in line with the brief provided.
  • Utilising prospective students feedback and management information to ensure all communications are effective.
  • Chair the enrolment communications sub group to lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of enrolment communications, content and activities.

We are looking for a team leader who enjoys working with others. You will be experienced in negotiating and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders to share information and ideas to reach the desired results. In addition, you will have specialist copywriting skills and previous experience creating content which engages Higher Education students.
