About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Public Relations Manager join our client and work directly with the Head of External Communications to elevate their communications and public relations initiatives. This role will help drive strategic media outreach to raise awareness of our data, products, and thought leadership in the UK and Irish markets.

You will partner with the PR team and business stakeholders, including marketing, business intelligence, and research, to promote the brand through timely, data-driven narratives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the media, strong media relationships across national and consumer press, and experience leveraging data to tell compelling stories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a robust media relations program with a focus on consumer, lifestyle, career, HR, and leadership media outlets.
  • Support the creation of new communication strategies and plans to position our company as a leader in the HR/recruitment space
  • Help develop product communications media strategies, targeting tier-one press and uncovering opportunities to tell stories about our products for jobseekers and employers.
  • Regularly identify and cultivate new media contacts, pitch reporters, and nurture relationships with top-tier, regional, and trade media.
  • Identify opportunities to insert our data and perspectives into the news of the day.
  • Prepare and manage high-quality communications materials for spokespeople, such as reports, media briefings, articles, commentary, talking points, and press releases.
  • Monitor media enquiries and manage follow-up, escalating as needed.
  • Act as a spokesperson when necessary for media briefings and interviews.
  • Maintain and manage UK media lists.
  • Prioritise work to support business goals and team objectives.
  • Measure success based on achieving press coverage in Tier 1 and influential media outlets.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in PR, communications, and/or journalism across B2B & B2C
  • Strong news judgment with extensive pitching experience.
  • Ability to act as a company spokesperson when needed.
  • Comfortable working in a data-driven environment, able to identify and surface data insights for compelling storytelling.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and editing skills.
  • Strong project management abilities, with great attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams, including with marketing and other internal partners.
  • Experience managing vendors and agency partners to drive PR program success.
