Post title:DSG Finance Business Partner
Day rate:600 inside IR35
Length:6 months initially
Location:London (twice a week onsite)
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Thoroughly understand and manage the DSG High Needs budget and Safety Valve programme.
- Perform detailed savings calculations and update the Safety Valve model regularly.
- Conduct regular reporting and forecasting for the Safety Valve and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) programmes.
- Act as the lead for all SEND and Safety Valve finance-related queries and reports, presenting findings at Senior Management Team (SMT) meetings.
- Monitoring the Early Years budget and managing the High Needs Block
- Prepare the S251 return - preparing and making the submission
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Provide high-quality financial advice to Corporate Directors, Heads of Service, and budget managers.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 3 years worth of experience in a similar finance business partner role, preferably within a local government or public sector setting.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of the DSG High Needs budget monitoring and SEND funding mechanisms.
- Have previous experience with the Safety Valve programme or similar financial recovery initiatives is essential within a public sector organisation.
