Client Details

My client is a privately owned contractor with operations in new build and recladding/legacy projects. They specialise in residential schemes for Housing Associations and Local Authorities throughout London and the South East. They have an excellent team focus, great arrangements around hybrid and flexible working, as well as an environment focused on providing opportunities for their staff to develop. The position is office-based in East London with some potential to WFH (1 day per week).

Description

As the Technical Coordinator you will support multiple PCSAs (JCT D&B contracts) for cladding remediation projects on frameworks with a number of large Housing Association clients in the South East. Your role will largely be office based in East London and your key responsibilities will be:

  • Review of all project requirements and establish the key technical issues in delivering schemes.
  • Manage and coordinate all technical aspects of recladding projects ensuring building regs/BSR compliance.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. client, design teams, subcontractors, etc.) to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure all work adheres to ERs, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and timelines based on technical information.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with construction and recladding projects.

Profile

A successful Technical Coordinator will:

  • Possess a relevant degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate previous Architecture or Coordinator experience on high rise residential schemes.
  • Have excellent technical knowledge of different facade systems (e.g. brickwork, blockwork, curtain walling, etc)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with proven success coordinating between client, contractor, and subcontractors where relevant.

You must have the right to work in the UK and will need to be immediately available (max 1 week notice).
