Company Overview - Technical Operations Manager

A well-established, independent Fire & Security company based in South East London is looking to bring on a skilled and driven Technical Operations Manager to join their growing team.

The primary focus of the role is to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the business. This includes managing engineering teams, acting as the technical lead for complex faults, overseeing the projects and service departments, quoting when needed, and supporting technical commissioning where required.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a key leadership role, directly supporting the Company Owner and playing a major part in shaping the future of the business.

Technical Operations Manager Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across the installation, service, and fault departments
  • Provide technical support to engineers, especially for complex issues
  • Manage and mentor engineering teams
  • Liaise with clients, occasionally attending site as needed
  • Quote small works and support project delivery
  • Take a lead role in process improvement, policy planning and strategy implementation
  • Support compliance with H&S regulations and industry standards
  • Review and approve operational invoices
  • Produce operational and financial reports for senior management
  • Play a key part in recruitment and staff development

Technical Operations Manager Skills and Experience Required:

  • Solid technical background in both Fire and Security systems
  • Previous experience managing teams and overseeing operations
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Able to support and troubleshoot technical issues in the field
