Are you passionate about creating real change and building stronger, more inclusive communities? We're looking for someone to lead our Scouting in Black Communities (SIBC) work, helping to shape the future of Scouts in the UK, starting in the London area. You'll be part of two enthusiastic teams working together to make Scouting more accessible and adaptable for all.

 Job Title: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Executive (Scouting in Black Communities)

 Salary: £39,560 per annum (Band F, Level 3) – inclusive of outer London weighting.

 Location:  Gilwell Park, Chingford, London (working across other locations)

 Contract Type: Permanent

 Working Hours:  35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek out, build and establish relationships with local community leaders within Black Communities in the London area, to work in partnership with them to strengthen our existing knowledge base about Scouting in Black Communities.
  • Work closely with local communities to understand their needs and build strong, meaningful relationships.
  • Collaborate with our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and Inclusive Growth teams to share best practices across the Scouts and drive lasting change.
  • Support the integration of inclusive practices throughout the entire organisation.
