The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to find their Senior Membership Manager (Acquisition).


The current role is based in London for at least three days per week, with hybrid flexibility for the remaining days.



The purpose of this role is to oversee the recruitment of new Fellows to the charity, as well as fundraising from the fellowship through regular giving, gifts and legacies. The role will lead the Fellowship Development Team to meet ambitious Fellowship recruitment targets, identifying new opportunities and leading on programmes and projects to grow and diversify the Fellowship. The role will also lead on securing new Fellowship Partnerships, through which external organisations purchase multiple Fellowships.


Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Create and deliver the Fellowship recruitment strategy to achieve ambitious recruitment targets.
  • Accountable for the team hitting monthly, quarterly and yearly new joiner targets, as well as income targets for Fellowship recruitment.
  • Responsible for managing the effectiveness of all recruitment activity, identifying areas for improvement and troubleshooting problems to ensure the best user journey/experience.
  • Lead, identify, design and implement new processes, projects and pilots to improve recruitment of Fellows.
  • Ensure recruitment processes make full use of the capabilities of our CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation platform (Pardot), and CMS to hit recruitment and income generating targets.
  • Lead on Fellowship Partnerships (targeting organisation interested in offering Fellowships as development opportunities for staff) including owning the end-to-end pipeline, developing proposals, overseeing the production of key collateral and securing partnership agreements.
  • Ensures continual professional development for Fellowship members, supporting employees to grow and build their skills and careers at the charity. This includes setting individual and team goals, performance management, recruitment and wellbeing and pastoral support.
  • Accountable for any team or assigned departmental budget management including expenditure and any income targets.




Person Specification:
 

  • Knowledge of recruitment and marketing strategies to grow a membership, network or product.
  • Knowledge of the sales process and managing a pipeline of prospects.
  • Understanding, knowledge and experience of project management.
  • Experience of managing and motivating staff to perform at a high level including 1:1’s, performance reviews, and prioritising and managing workload.
  • Experience at securing high-level partnerships with external organisations.
  • Experience at meeting new business, recruitment or other targets, particularly targets relating to financial income.
  • Experience of growing a membership network and understanding of recruitment principles particularly in relation to marketing and communications.
  • Ability to combine both strategic thinking with operational implementation including data management, monitoring, analysis and evaluation.
  • Strong public-speaking skills and the ability to talk persuasively and convincingly about a cause, whether to one individual or a large audience.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills including developing, streamlining and improving admin services.
