We are hiring for an Assistant Cost Planner to join our client, one of London's leading property developers.

In this role, you'll assist with cost planning for developments before construction starts. You'll work closely with a Senior Cost Planner, providing commercial insight during the design phase to ensure projects meet financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in producing cost plans and ensuring designs align with budget targets.
  • Attend design meetings, offering commercial advice to meet development goals.
  • Interpret design information (drawings, specifications, reports) to estimate costs.
  • Conduct cost benchmarking and market testing with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Identify risks, assumptions, and opportunities related to cost and design.
  • Stay current on market trends, regulatory changes, and construction costs.

What We're Looking For:

  • RICS Accredited degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • 1-3 years' experience in cost consultancy or property development (recent graduates also welcome).
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow.
