Assistant Planner

My client is a forward-thinking, independent consultancy offering a range of planning and development related services. They currently have an opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Planner to join their Infrastructure team in London.



The role will offer a unique opportunity to work on some of the UK's biggest and complex infrastructure projects including nuclear power stations, renewable energy generation, airport expansions, rail and road schemes and strategic rail freight interchanges.

The established Infrastructure team deals with a range of projects across the energy, transport, waste, and utilities sectors. The role will primarily involve providing hands on support on DCO applications, from inception through the pre application stage through to Examination stage. You will also assist on projects delivered through the TCPA and TWA regimes.


Candidate Requirements:

  • RTPI accredited degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant work experience in a Planning environment.
  • Understand of the UK Planning system.
  • An active interest in delivering large scale infrastructure projects.
