Your new companyWorking for one of the UK's largest rail operators, you will be part of a team that is responsible for delivering the continuous improvement of some of the UK's busiest railway lines. Your new roleAs a buyer, you will be responsible for a range of indirect procurement categories, including but not limited to HR, IT, FM and Professional Services, with a bias towards the IT category. You will negotiate and draft a range of contracts for the provision of services as well as manage these suppliers' performance post signature. You will be responsible for the analysis and assessment of the general PQQ for all suppliers and play a vital role in onboarding tier 1 and 2 suppliers into the contract management system. What you'll need to succeedYou will need to have previous experience working within an indirect procurement function with an understanding of IT contracts and their variations. You should also be a highly motivated and driven self-starter who can work independently when required. You should be a strong communicator who is able to effectively work with different teams to deliver on a range of projects. What you'll get in returnYou will be entitled to a base salary of up to £45,000 p/a alongside a range of other benefits such as free TfL travel, 75% off national rail travel, and annual salary increases. You will work in The City with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. This organisation will also offer CIPS sponsorship from day one.
