Our client is an exciting well known global food and beverage brand. They currently have a large amount of procurement contracts and need your Legal expertise to support with the negotiation, drafting of clauses, and legal support for procurement.

JOB TITLE: Interim Procurement Contract Support

COMPANY: Exciting Global F&B Brand

CONTRACT: Interim (for 6-9 months, potentially longer, even perm!)

LOCATION: London OR you can work FULLY REMOTE!

PAY RATE: Day-rate £300-£450 per day (potentially higher, depending on experience!)

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

  • Assist the VP, General Counsel Supply Chain, the Senior Procurement Contracts lawyer and the Procurement team with the review, negotiation and drafting of direct procurement contract clauses to ensure that the supplier gives appropriate commitments to protect the business's commercial interests, specifically in relation to:
    • Liabilities (via warranties, indemnities and limited liability caps);
    • Legal compliance (i.e. incorporation of the Third Party Code of Conduct);
    • Contract duration and renewal rights; and
    • Termination rights for failure to perform.
  • Candidate will have in-depth understanding of procurement-related legal issues from a buyer's perspective in relation to:
    • Materials sourcing (raw materials, glass, cardboard, etc.); and
    • Transport, logistics and warehousing.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • A Legal background with some form of Legal qualification
  • Experience negotiating procurement contracts, drafting clauses, etc. for sourcing agreements. Preferably from the Buyer's side!!
  • You must have a liabilities, indemnities, legal negotiations of contracts and setting up legal procurement contract templates
  • You must have experience working with high value contracts and a wide range of agreements (ideally with procurement contracts including raw materials, transportation (land, sea and air), glassware, food and beverage supplies, etc.)
