Your new companyThis is a multinational banking and financial services institution, with over 450 branches in 19 cities. They offer a wide range of financial services, including corporate banking, investment banking and asset management, ranked amongst the largest 25 banks globally by assets under management. This team has moved from a decentralised to a centralised capacity. Therefore, a strong desire to promote procurement internally is needed for this role.Your new roleYou will be supporting the Procurement Director in establishing the value of procurement, with a direct focus on leading and managing the IT Category. You will be managing £50m worth of spend, as well as direct management of a small team reporting to you. The principal part of this role will be the full E2E procurement process of the IT category. A Market Data Category manager will be reporting into you, so market data exposure would be desirable.What you'll need to succeedYou will NEED to have predominant exposure to category management of IT - any other profiles won't be considered. You must have an innovative mindset in order to support the development of the entire procurement function. You will need to have great interpersonal and communication skills when engaging stakeholders and suppliers, as well as exposure managing people. You will need to have a good understanding of the market, products and services in the IT category with great stakeholder engagement to help centralise procurement.What you'll get in returnWith the company being very pro-people development, you will be joining a very collaborative team with a plethora of opportunities and exposure across the business.
