IT Procurement lead, London(Central), £35-40k + Benefits, PermanentYour new company You will be workingfor a specialist IT provider to SMEs based in Central London, who understandthe importance of providing reliable IT systems to their clients. This companyhas a diverse client base, and provides end-to-end service, making this a rewardingopportunity. Your new role You will be workingclosely with the Indirect procurement manager, supporting their daily indirectprocurement activities. As this company continues to grow, their need to managespend has become vital to the success of the business.You will beresponsible for:

  • Targeting cost saving opportunities in the indirect IT category whilst maintaining quality and service.
  • Analysing current spends and look for opportunities to save costs in line with the business KPIs.
  • Help develop and implement contracts and long term agreement for all newly sourced parts and services.
  • Drive and develop reliable relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Managing bids and tenders for all contracting work.
  • Develop and introduce KPIs through the IT category.
  • Attending internal meetings as and when necessary with various departments.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in indirect buying across a variety of categories, IT experience is essential.
  • Good working knowledge of MRP/APS systems.
  • Experience working in a "hands on" procurement role, including execution of cost saving exercises.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office with advanced skills in Excel.
  • CIPS certified is desirable but not required.
