We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised Junior Buyer to join this creative and successful brand as part of their team!
This company designs and develops all of its products from scratch, supplying fun, trend-driven items to leading retailers worldwide. As a Junior Buyer, you will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, sourcing materials, and ensuring the critical path is maintained.

- Manage the buying process from supplier selection through to product delivery, ensuring cost, quality, and timelines are met.
- Create and maintain critical paths tailored to customer and business requirements, ensuring key deadlines are met.
- Liaise with factories and suppliers to negotiate costings, monitor production progress, and resolve any issues.
- Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring all product specifications, materials, and costs are accurate.
- Review and approve samples (including white box samples and components) to ensure they meet brand, retailer, and quality standards.
- Oversee pre-production sample review meetings, managing feedback internally and with suppliers to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with internal teams including product development, sales, logistics, and technical teams to ensure smooth production and order fulfilment.
- Ensure inspections are completed in line with the critical path and resolve any outstanding production issues before shipment.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, working with suppliers to find eco-friendly materials and processes while improving supply chain efficiencies.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and attend trade fairs when necessary.
Skills and experience required:
- Experience in a product development, production, buying, supply chain, or operations role.
- Experience working with overseas suppliers an advantage.
- Working knowledge of production critical paths, including creation and project management.
- Experience managing critical paths for 50+ SKUs in one season.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills. Familiarity with Teams, Monday.com, or a Salesforce platform beneficial.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Fantastic organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Positive, proactive approach with the ability to build successful relationships across departments.
- A love of product and a commitment to working with a great team and business.
