ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client is a London Borough Council and have a vacancy in the housing and regeneration department. They are committed to delivering high-quality services and driving positive change within the community. With a strong focus on procurement and contracts, they are seeking a dedicated Procurement Business Partner to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide procurement advice and support to procurement projects within the Housing Management Department.
  • Collaborate with business managers and project teams to improve procurement and contract management within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and achieve corporate objectives and value for money.
  • Support the delivery of the Housing Management procurement plan.
  • Manage procurement processes, including council governance implementation and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Prepare procurement and contract-related reports.
  • Challenge specifications and contract management arrangements to ensure contracts are fit for purpose.
  • Assist with the mobilisation and rollout of new contracts, providing training on new processes.

ESSENTIAL (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE):

  • Knowledge and understanding of public sector procurement processes, including regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working in procurement within a public sector housing environment.
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent experience.

DESIRABLE (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE):

  • Knowledge of contract management.
  • Knowledge of leaseholder consultation requirements.

TECHNOLOGIES:

  • Proficiency in using procurement tools and templates.
