Our client in the FMCG space are seeking a strategic Procurement Category Manager to oversee all aspects of Technology/ IT procurement. In this role, you will be responsible for developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring IT investments align with business objectives while maximising cost efficiency and quality.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category strategies for Technology and IT spend, aligning with overall business goals.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the IT landscape.
- Source and evaluate technology vendors, negotiating contracts to achieve optimal pricing and terms.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance aligns with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand needs and incorporate them into procurement strategies.
- Monitor industry trends to inform procurement decisions and drive innovation within the organisation.
- Prepare and present regular reports on category performance, savings achieved, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - MCIPS desirable
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on IT spend.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier management
- Familiarity with procurement software and analytics tools
This role is based in London on a hybrid working model - 2 days in office / 3 WFH.
