Our client in the FMCG space are seeking a strategic Procurement Category Manager to oversee all aspects of Technology/ IT procurement. In this role, you will be responsible for developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring IT investments align with business objectives while maximising cost efficiency and quality.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies for Technology and IT spend, aligning with overall business goals.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the IT landscape.
  • Source and evaluate technology vendors, negotiating contracts to achieve optimal pricing and terms.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance aligns with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand needs and incorporate them into procurement strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends to inform procurement decisions and drive innovation within the organisation.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on category performance, savings achieved, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - MCIPS desirable
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on IT spend.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier management
  • Familiarity with procurement software and analytics tools

This role is based in London on a hybrid working model - 2 days in office / 3 WFH.
