My customer recognises Procurement capability has a growing potential to contribute to cost management as well as improving the value from our vendors. Over the last 12 months, a number of changes have been implemented to help enhance the maturity of the Procurement function (from a greenfield environment). This role is to support the team from a reporting and data perspective, and help companies Procurement team during their transformation journey.
Reporting to the Procurement Operations Director, you will be responsible for the following:
- Help support the Strategic Procurement agenda through data, analytical and change management skill-set.
- Leverage data to analyse and optimise procurement activities
- Create impactful presentations decks with insightful data.
- Process Contracts.
- Process Purchase Requisitions
- Respond to, and adhere to, new and existing regulatory guidelines and initiatives, enabling the company to effectively assess and manage the risk introduced by engaging with third parties during the course of executing business activities.
- Automate existing Excel trackers/reports and create new tools on Excel to help manage and improve the pipeline of work.
- Understand financial information and leverage that data to support the decision making process.
- The selected Procurement Operations -Data and Reporting AVP will provide support within the Procurement Operations pillar.
Skills and Experience:
- An Excel guru - desirable
- Ability to take initiative, come up with new ideas and implement them
- Very comfortable with data analytics. Ability to use data to support new ideas, or identify new opportunities and add value
- Experience working in specific Procurement systems (Coupa, Ariba, SAP or Oracle)
