Henry Martin is assisting our client, a well-established and reputable house builder, in their search for an experienced Senior Buyer based in West London. With a strong commitment to excellence and innovation, our client continues to grow.

As a Senior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth procurement of building materials for projects. This is a pure materials buying role, where your expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships will directly contribute to the success of thedevelopments. You will be responsible for the efficient procurement of high-quality materials, working closely with project teams to meet deadlines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure construction materials, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms to achieve the best value.
  • Manage the procurement process from tendering to purchase order placement.
  • Monitor market trends, product developments, and material availability to anticipate potential challenges.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to understand material requirements and project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Keep accurate records of purchases, supplier performance, and contract terms.
