Senior Buyer Coffee

Your new companyYou will be working for a food and beverage business responsible for importing and exporting goods all over the world. This business supplies a range of wholesalers, retailers, restaurants and more, right across the globe. Your new roleAs a Senior Buyer of coffee, you will be responsible for managing the coffee category for the business. This will entail developing and managing relationships with farmers and suppliers across Africa, South and Central America. You will be responsible for staying up-to-date with and analysing market trends to ensure informed, and educated purchasing decisions are made to protect the business from undue risk. You will also develop contingency plans to ensure the business is adequately protected from potential geographical and supply chain issues. You will also be the procurement representative to the wider business, educating stakeholders on the importance and value of procurement. What you'll need to succeedYou will need to have proven experience in previous procurement roles, within the food and beverage space. You should be competent in sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier management. You should be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across various countries and cultures. Strong knowledge of Excel and the ability to undertake detailed analysis is crucial for this role. What you'll get in returnYou will receive a competitive base salary of up to £55,000p/a, alongside a discretionary bonus and 25 days of a/l.
