Cedar Recruitment are delighted to be working collaboratively with a leading Non departmental Government Body to help to recruit for a hungry and passionate Procurement professional across the Assets and Estates category on the organisations exiting transformation journey. The role is full time, permanent and will require you to go into the office 2 days per week.

You will be working for one of the largest organisations on the industry, in the stages of their transformation by bringing more of a streamlined and highly structured process.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Supporting in the preparation of a business case as and when new service requirements are required
  • Both Manage and monitor major contracts to ensure services are delivered consistently within the terms of the contract.
  • To own and lead on the procurement strategy for the category
  • To carry out the market analysis, stakeholder review and supplier performance activities in line with the transformation
  • Lead and manage procurement activities specific to the category and providing advice to senior stakeholders as necessary including on contract documentation
  • Achieve value for money in contracts, and where appropriate, work in collaboration with key commercial partners where required
  • Draft and place contract notices on the EU and other websites and to manage the pre-qualification process
  • Prepare evaluation methodologies, assist in evaluation exercises, collate and analyse evaluation results and prepare financial information.
  • Assist the Head of Category and Head of Commercial in monitoring and management annual expenditure budgets, including savings and efficiency's
  • To manage junior staff members with their ongoing development

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 y hands-on experience of procurement, category and contract management,
  • Demonstrable experience across works - NEC or JCT
  • Strong working knowledge and experience of public sector procurement procedures and regulations
  • Demonstrable experience of working to supplier management frameworks
  • certification or membership is preferred and working towards MCIPS is desirable
