This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to contribute to an organisation that champions social mobility and equal opportunities.Job Title: Senior Procurement ManagerSalary: £58,840 - £68,207Job Type: PermanentHours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00Working Arrangement: Home-Based with occasional travel to Shaw Trust offices and supplier sitesLocation: RemoteRole Overview:As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will bring a wealth of procurement experience to Corporate Procurement Team. You will be responsible for managing the procurement lifecycle, from tendering to supplier management, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and driving value through cost savings, quality enhancement, and risk mitigation. This role will see you lead key categories, including IT and Recruitment, and build strong vendor relationships while optimising procurement processes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, from sourcing and negotiation to implementation, ensuring value for money.
  • Interpret and advise on Terms & Conditions of Trade for internal stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic category management for IT and Recruitment procurement.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance.
  • Implement risk management strategies and negotiate cost savings and favourable terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to improve procurement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and financial objectives.
  • Provide procurement insights through market research and spend analysis.
  • Line manage the procurement team, offering guidance and performance management.
  • Deputise for the Head of Procurement when required.

Person Specification:

  • MCIPS qualified or working towards Level 6 (Essential).
  • Significant procurement experience in a complex organisation (Essential).
  • Proven track record of leading procurement programs and delivering results (Essential).
  • Experience in category management, especially for IT (Desirable).
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel (Essential).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills at all levels (Essential).
  • Strategic thinker with commercial acumen (Essential).
  • Line management experience (Desirable).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
