The McGregor Boyall Procurement recruitment team are delighted to be offering a newly created role that has just come live from our market leading client based in London.

This will be a hybrid role, working near to Cannon St in the city 2 days per week minimum.

The ideal candidate will be looking for a career move into this role as a mid-level Category Procurement Officer. You will need to show strong previous experience in areas around Real Estate, Outsourcing and or Professional Services.

Th ideal candidate will have around 3-5 years Procurement experience and over time, look to step into a Manager role.

The core responsibilities for this role are as follows:Assist the team in managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, selection, and onboarding of new suppliers.Help to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives and drive optimal outcomes.Play an active part in negotiating contract terms and commercials with suppliers.Maintain & Develop relationships with key suppliers.Manage & analyse the supplier performance to ensure contracts and service level agreements are adhered to.Support business stakeholders in creating and managing budgets, provide analytical support, help facilitate budget adherence and proactively identify opportunities for cost savings.Partnering with relevant business teams to understand their procurement needs and provide effective support.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years procurement experience
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, plus having the ability to analyse spend data, identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Excellent commutation and influencing skills, with the ability negotiate effectively with suppliers and internally to achieve consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of TUPE regulations and their implications for procurement and outsourcing decisions.
  • Proven experience negotiating contract renewals in FM, Professional Services and or Outsourcing; understanding of Real Estate and catering will be highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work in London 3 days per week.
  • The client is happy to consider candidates who are either immediately available or on notice periods of up to 12 weeks.
