Quantity Surveyors operate specialised equipment, ensure data accuracy, and perform cost assessments. Surveyors also process information, review tenders, and collaborate with other construction professionals. Strong technical skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role. Duties typically include:
Take accurate financial information related to construction projects.
Producing take-offs for building plans.
Communicate with clients and colleagues to exchange financial construction-related information.
Understand and ensure Legal and regulatory compliance is followed.
Administrate and analyse contracts, timesheets, tenders, pre-qualifying questionnaires, and price lists.
Perform cost assessments, measurements, or valuations using research-derived data.
Prioritise safety for oneself and others in the work environment.
As well as completing the Level 3 Surveying Technician diploma, all apprentices will be admitted as a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). This addition has been designed to:

The apprenticeship will develop the technical, interpersonal, and behavioural skills, knowledge and competence outcomes that are required for surveying technicians to work effectively within a range of working environments.

Typical Work Week
40 hours p/w with start time typically between 07:00 & 08:00 inclusive of paid 8 hours at college.

Minimum Requirements
English and Maths at GCSE Grade 3 or above, or Functional Skills at Level 1 or above.
