Are you an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? Join a dynamic and forward-thinking team, where you'll play a key role in managing the cost and contract aspects of reactive maintenance for social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, valuations, and budgets for reactive maintenance projects in social housing.
  • Monitor and track project costs, ensuring they stay within budget.
  • Assist in the procurement of contractors and suppliers, including managing quotes and ensuring compliance with contracts.
  • Review and process payments, applications for payment, and variations.
  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Support in the preparation of tender documents and the evaluation of bids.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on project performance, cost analysis, and progress.

Key Requirements:

  • A relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards it).
  • Experience in a similar role within the social housing reactive maintenance sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, with a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
