Responsibilities for Assistant Quantity Surveyor
In this role, you will:
- Assist with the preparation and management of project budgets, estimates, and cost plans.
- Support the review and negotiation of contracts, including subcontractor agreements.
- Measure and value work on-site, ensuring that project financial targets are met.
- Assist in the preparation of payment applications, variations, and final accounts.
- Work closely with senior commercial staff and project managers to provide accurate financial forecasts.
Requirements for Assistant Quantity Surveyor
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (e.g., HND, BSc).
- Previous experience working on infrastructure or civil engineering projects, ideally within the highways sector.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
