Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a well-known contractor who are looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyors to join their team. This position is fully home based and you will only need to go to the office for client meetings. They have client office all over London and the home counties are looking for candidates in surrounding areas.

They are looking for Assistant Quantity Surveyors with ideally 3 + year's experience in either a social housing reactive repairs projects.

  • Managing all commercial aspects of the responsive repair's projects working very closely with the QS.
  • Producing monthly valuations and applications, for direct submittal to the client.
  • Managing monthly commercial reporting Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the commercial and construction function of the Project(s)
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the project(s) contractual and commercial requirements.
  • Demonstrates a sound understanding around the valuations cycle and associated deadlines, prioritising and managing both their own and the team's time accordingly.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with and effectively interfaced at peer level with company clients to agree valuations and variations.
  • Interface with and form productive effective relationships with the site team(s) and the client team.
  • Must have social housing, local authority or contractor experience managing small to large scale projects.

Key Knowledge:

  • Property services/construction industry knowledge
  • IT and Excel Literate
  • Commercial knowledge and awareness
  • HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying qualification required.
