Role Summary

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the senior commercial team to manage the financial and contractual aspects of high-value residential projects. This role will give you valuable exposure to the commercial management of luxury construction, helping you develop key skills in cost management, procurement, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation & Tendering: Assist in preparing cost estimates and tender documents for various stages of the project.
  • Procurement Assistance: Support the procurement process by sourcing suppliers and subcontractors and compiling relevant documentation.
  • Contract Support: Aid in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors under the guidance of senior QSs.
  • Budget Tracking: Help monitor project budgets, track costs, and ensure alignment with financial forecasts.
  • Payment Applications & Variations: Prepare and review payment applications, assist in managing variations, and support the preparation of final accounts.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to assess project progress and maintain quality control.
  • Reporting: Assist in generating financial reports and forecasts for the senior management team, providing insights into project costs and financial health.
